In addition to the work, duties and rights mentioned elsewhere in the Act and these regulations, the work, duties and rights of the Child Welfare Officer shall be as follows:-
(a) To implement the decisions and directives of the local child rights committee, (b) To provide necessary support to the local level and the local child rights committee to formulate and implement the annual program and budget of the committee in accordance with the policies and plans approved by the government of Nepal, the provincial government and the local level. To submit the progress report of the work execution to the meeting of the committee,
(c) Collecting and analyzing the data related to the conditions of care, health, education, protection and participation that all children residing permanently and temporarily within the local level should receive, and prepare an urgent report. Immediate rescue, psychosocial counseling, treatment, temporary protection, family support for parents, family reunification and alternative care for children who are at risk, need special protection and alternative care and are suffering from crime,
(e) To prepare an action plan to carry out the actions according to clause (d) and submit it to the local child rights committee for approval and implement the approved action plan, (f) Victims in the investigation process of crimes against children and the law: Police office for temporary and family protection of children in conflict and To provide necessary assistance to the court,
(g) Alternative care arrangements within the local level, rehabilitation centers, temporary protection services, monitoring rooms and residential homes such as monasteries, guruklas, monasteries, madrassas, churches, etc. kept for educational purposes for children and reporting to the local child rights committee and other related bodies Submitting,
(h) In cases of child rights violations at the local level, immediate rescue, relief and protection of children should be carried out. (i) Applying to the court for the appointment of a guardian of children according to the prevailing law,
(h) ChildSubmitting a report on the availability of alternative care for the girl child when requested by the court,

Facilitating and recommending to related agencies to register the birth of children placed in alternative care, create citizenship and protect their movable and immovable property by keeping records, ) Publication of information and reports to be published in accordance with prevailing laws so as not to violate children's right to privacy. to be done and the details thereof after the end of the financial year: to be submitted to the State Child Rights Committee and Council within half a day,
(D) Initiatives to give priority to children's issues in the planning process of the local level,
(d) Coordination and facilitation necessary to promote child-friendly schools, child-friendly local governance to end problems such as child labor and child marriage at the local level,
(n) To do other work delegated by the local child rights committee.
